(1) Engaging Employees & Teams Through Strengths

A half-day (3-4 hour) training experience is offered and geared to help employees discover how they can use and develop their natural strengths and talents to bring out their best contribution to the organization as an individual, a team member, and/or team leader. We focus in on each participant’s Top 5 Signature Strengths as we cover all 34 talents. We also look at how to work more effectively as a team as we profile team strengths within your unique organization. A customized team talent map and supplemental materials are provided.

(2) Developing Strengths-Based Managers & Teams

A full-day (7-8 hour) training experience is offered for managers and supervisors. Your managers will first discover and unlock the potential of their own talents and strengths and then learn how to use their strengths to manage, develop, coach and motivate strengths-based teams. Managers and supervisors learn The 4 Keys of Great Managers and 8 Secrets to Building Strong Teams. This workshop equips supervisors, managers and directors to maximize the potential of each employee under their leadership and supervision in order to deepen employee engagement, increase team productivity and drive business results across their department.

New York City, New York: “The Big Apple”

Settled in the Northeast of the United States at the mouth of the Hudson River, lies New York City, New York: the most populous city in the USA built on three islands (Long Island, Manhattan and Staten Island). New York City has a population of over 8,400,000 residents and the city’s total square mileage is almost 469 miles. It’s also right next door to New Jersey, making a visit quite feasible. New York City is known for beginning the term “melting pot” because of the European immigration and now about 37% of the population is foreign born.

New York City is a bustling city full of culture and life and the business scene is no less. The key industries in the city are financial services, media, communications and technology. Some of the top employers in New York City are the City of New York, New York City Department of Education, Transportation Authority, United States Government, New York City Health and Hospitals Corp., JP Morgan Chase & Co., State of New York, Citigroup Inc., North Shore-LIJ Health System and Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Music lovers will enjoy visiting Harlem the Jazz Capital or Strawberry Fields, John Lennon Memorial. New York also has wonderful cuisine and nightlife, such as a New York Beer and Brewery Tour.

New York City is home to a handful of top-of-the-line universities such as Berkeley College, New York University, the Institute of Technology, The Juilliard School of Music, Barnard College and Cornell University.

New York City is known for its professional sports’ teams as well! New York City is home to the New York Mets, New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, New York Giants, New York Jets, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers and the New York Red Bulls. Try and catch one of these teams playing a game while you’re in town!

NYC is a fantastic place to hold a company or team conference and has a lot of conventions centers available to host your event. TKP New York Conference Center, NYC Seminar & Conference Center, Downtown Conference Center New York, AMA New York Conference Center and American Conference Center are just a few options. This beautiful and bustling city does not fall short with options for accommodation and hotels. There is something for every price range and budget.

A few great spots to look into over your stay are Casablanca Hotel Times Square, Langham Place, Fifth Avenue, Loews Regency Hotel, 414 Hotel and Staybridge Suites Times Square, New York City.  Take in as much of this city as you can while staying and don’t forget to watch out for those taxis!
