The ‘glue’ to bring this group together
Thank you for presenting an excellent session on the DiSC Leadership to the Ohio University Health Policy Fellowship Class. The Fellows were unanimous in rating you and your session as the highest rated session of the weekend. They commented on how impressed they were that you were attuned to them to the point that you organized the session based on their interests and goals—the gold standard for an effective educator. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work with someone with you breadth of experience and knowledge—as well as such a great facilitator. The insight the Fellows gained will help mold them into an effective team. Thanks for providing the ‘glue’ to bring this group together. We’ll be back and would love to have the opportunity to work with you again. Nancy Cooper – Fellowship Coordinator, Ohio University
Very positive experience
The DiSC training experience was very positive for us because you had such great insights. It was an enriching experience learning about ourselves as well as others on our team. We appreciated the way you created an active learning environment. We highly recommend this training for other employers and their employees. Your DiSC workshop was an incredible learning experience and we had a lot of “take aways” as well as some thoughtful reflection. We appreciate your openness and passion. Seattle, Washington: The Emerald City
Seattle Washington is the premier conference and convention city
Rated through Business Week magazine as one of the best cities to live in within the United States, Seattle is a city that is filled with the arts, music, culture, tourism, diversity, industry, innovation, and fun. Even before “Sleepless in Seattle” hit the screen, there is a lot to like about this city of approximately 610,000 residents (according to GDP) and the largest city in the pacific northwest United States.
Seattle is a favorite city among many. Not only have people enjoyed visiting Pike’s Place Market and watching Salmon being tossed and sold, and enjoyed escalating upwards in the Space Needle in awe of the city night lights, but they also have had a blast simply walking along the downtown ocean boardwalk and taking in the diverse and colorful people all along the city strip along the ocean front. Seattle is the home of many beautiful parks, restaurants, music venues, ferries, and high-tech educational events that I’ve experienced while being there.
Known as a high-tech city, Seattle is not only a beautiful city during the day, but it’s home to a host of top-rate conference and convention centers to meet in while conducting and gathering for training events. There are lots of places to stay and meet while in Seattle. Places like: Washington State Convention Center, Rainier Club, and the Talaris Conference Center to name a few.
Seattle Business Industry Sectors
Although Seattle is home to many successful small and mid-sized businesses, it’s largest employers include companies and organizations like: Boeing, Microsoft, the University of Washington, Amazon, Weyerhaueser, Group Health Cooperative, Fred Meyer, Bank of America, Quest Communication, and Nordstrom’s. And even though not in the top 10, Seattle is also world famous for being known as the headquarters of Starbucks and Seattle’s Best coffee. Other blossoming companies include: Moss Adams, Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union, Share Builder, Washington Federal Savings, Russell Investments, PEMCO, Trupanion, Group Health Cooperative, Safeco, Cequint, Indix, K2 Sports, NetMotion Wireless, Alaska Airlines, SeaTac, Brooks Sports, Clearwire, Costco, Eddie Bauer, Expedia, Intelius, Nintendo of America, R.E.I. and Puget Sound Energy. The DiSC Personality Profile workshop is used in many Seattle area businesses as a corporate training event, professional development module, and talent management strategy of keeping and developing their employees.
Seattle Education and Universities
Seattle also hosts a variety of incredible schools like University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Seattle Central College, Antioch University, City University of Seattle, The Art Insitute of Seattle, Western Washington University, Pacific Lutheran University, University of Puget Sound, Cornish College of the Arts, and Trinity Lutheran College. The DiSC Profile assessment and training is taking place in many of our local universities and colleges in the Seattle, Washington area helping students discover their unique communication and work style preferences.
Seattle Music Project
And finally, before you leave Seattle, make sure and visit the EMP Music Project in downtown. When I went with my family, we spent hours walking through this experiential music museum (houses the history of Rock music). The EMP Music Project showcases a dazzling and impressive collection of music memorabilia housed within an innovative and incredible architectural structure, making this an unforgettable Seattle experience.
