Seattle, Washington: The Emerald City

Seattle Washington is the premier conference and convention city

Rated through Business Week magazine as one of the best cities to live in within the United States, Seattle is a city that is filled with the arts, music, culture, tourism, diversity, industry, innovation, and fun. Even before “Sleepless in Seattle” hit the screen, there is a lot to like about this city of approximately 610,000 residents (according to GDP) and the largest city in the pacific northwest United States.

Seattle is a  favorite city among many. Not only have people enjoyed visiting Pike’s Place Market and watching Salmon being tossed and sold, and enjoyed escalating upwards in the Space Needle in awe of the city night lights, but they also have had a blast simply walking along the downtown ocean boardwalk and taking in the diverse and colorful people all along the city strip along the oceanfront. Seattle is the home of many beautiful parks, restaurants, music venues, ferries, and high-tech educational events that I’ve experienced while being there.

Known as a high-tech city, Seattle is not only a beautiful city during the day, but it’s home to a host of top-rate conference and convention centers to meet in while conducting and gathering for training events. There are lots of places to stay and meet while in Seattle. Places like: Washington State Convention Center, Rainier Club, and the Talaris Conference Center to name a few.

And even though not in the top 10, Seattle is also world-famous for being known as the headquarters of Starbucks and Seattle’s Best coffee. Other blossoming companies include Moss Adams, Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union, Share Builder, Washington Federal Savings, Russell Investments, PEMCO, Trupanion, Group Health Cooperative, Safeco, Cequint, Index, K2 Sports, NetMotion Wireless, Alaska Airlines, SeaTac, Brooks Sports, Clearwire, Costco, Eddie Bauer, Expedia, Intelius, Nintendo of America, R.E.I. and Puget Sound Energy. The DiSC Personality Profile workshop is used in many Seattle area businesses as a corporate training event, professional development module, and talent management strategy of keeping and developing their employees.

Seattle Music Project

And finally, before you leave Seattle, make sure and visit the EMP Music Project in downtown. When I went with my family, we spent hours walking through this experiential music museum (houses the history of Rock music). The EMP Music Project showcases a dazzling and impressive collection of music memorabilia housed within an innovative and incredible architectural structure, making this an unforgettable Seattle experience.
